- That George Bush did not win the 2000 and 2004 elections
- That global warming is primarily a man-made phenomena
- That the 9/11 attacks were perpetrated not by jihadists, but by the Bush administration itself, and that Osama bin Laden, et al, are being unfairly blamed for it (or, conversely, that no planes actually hit the Twin Towers or the Pentagon; that it was actually American missiles, and that the passengers on the four jets are being held in detention)
- That the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan were instigated by a conspiracy of Halliburton-BushCo-ExxonMobil-TastEFreeze-NASCAR-Meineke-Diebold, and other evil American corporations
"My brother warned me that the liberal blogs were becoming very anti-Israel and some were so violently critical of Israel that there was a tone of anti-Semitism in that criticism. Since I generally do not read the blogs, I was surprised that liberals and progressives would treat the Israel/Palestine issue in such a shortsighted approach. Most objective people understand that it takes two to make an argument and that an informed group would understand that the Israel/Palestine problem has historical roots where plenty of blame can be shared. And my experience with liberals and progressives is that they view the world in shades of gray as compared to the right wing black and white approach. But, to my surprise, I got 67 comments from my last post (on the Huffington Post) that were mostly hostile to me and the ones that supported my analysis."OK so far. But now, to what does he attribute this rise in anti-Semitism among leftists? Time to dust off the "Karl Rove Did It!!!" whine-o-festo:
"So my conclusion is that the bloggers who violently hate Israel and see it in black and white terms are not really liberals. They may even be anti-Semites, but they are not representative of the liberal community that was so active in achieving racial and ethnic equality. It is a contradiction for a true liberal to be an anti-Semite. Furthermore, I would not put it past the right wing to flood the liberal blogs with hateful criticisms of Israel to advance a perception that liberals are anti-Israel or anti-Semitic. And I see Karl Rove's fingerprints all over this."So let's see if we have this all straight:
- Leftists are expressing raging anti-Semitic opinions on the most leftist-oriented blogsites
- Leftists cannot be anti-Semitic
- Therefore, Karl Rove has deployed hundreds (thousands!?) of mind-numbed right-wing shills to post messages on left-wing blog sites, to make the left-wing blog sites appear to be anti-Semitic to... the left-wing bloggers
WOW. Does Rove ever sleep?
Well, consider the source of this newest whackjob conspiracy theory. Air America, after innumerable glowing reviews from the fawning mainstream media since its infancy, has been losing market share practically since day one - and now, is down to about 440 listeners in each of its key markets (including its key meccas of Denver, Portland and Seattle). So it's understandable that Mr. Drobny is very upset. (According to an unscientific survey by Democratic Undreground recently, he's not alone; more than 75 of self-described Democrats report living with "serious mental illness" in their homes).
But this level of denial, obfuscation and lunacy is notable, even to the seething leftists. All of which certainly doesn't bode well as we head into November's mid-terms.
A prediction: Come November 8, when the Democrats wake up and realize they've lost another election, they're going to come up with a thousand new whackjob conspiracy theories as to the reason: Halliburton, Diebold, AIPAC, Rove, ExxonMobil, etc. - anything but to accept the fact that they lost because they allowed the lunatic left to take over the asylum that is now the DNC.
Oh well, there's always 2008, 2010, 2012, 2014, 2016...

The thing that is most striking to me is how "Liberal" Israel really is and how liberals in the USA so easily reject it out of hand. (I suspect through both ignorance and American style isolationism.)
The Israelis have socialized medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, and nursing to the point that it would put most American institutions to shame.
Military service is compulsory in Israel for both men and women and while it’s easy for women to opt out, most serve out of a sense of patriotism. Not only that but, Israelis living abroad over the age of 17 are required to register through Israeli consulates and may be required to return to Israel to serve in the IDF if needed. (This is a socialists dream come true.)
The Israeli teachers unions, (a liberal bastion in the USA) are some of the most powerful of any nation who often cast aside their pedagogical responsibilities for benefits over performance through the use of unified strikes. Decision making is wholly centralized making it one of the most socialistic institutions of any nation.
Even their tax rates are quite progressive. For example:
10% $1-51,360
22% $51,361-91,440
29% $91,441-137,280
36% $137,281-245,040
37% $245,041-424,440
49% $424,441 and over (as of 2003, the top rate was 50%)
What’s so eye-catching though is that most liberals in America actually reject Israel out of an ignorance of both form and function. Their distaste of history outside their own realm prevents them from embracing Israel as the true liberal relation and success story they really are.
Israel actually began under the most basic tenet of liberal core beliefs . . . a rise to power through class struggle. It was the Jewish working class that first settled the lands in what was then being called Palestine. Politically unorganized and treated as second class citizens in and around their own homes, Jews were segregated and castigated in Jerusalem and throughout the region by Arabs who had conquered the land so many years before. In fact, this same type of treatment has occurred to the Jews since the 6th century BCE when they were first conquered as a people under the Babylonian empire.
Under the idea of a homeland for Jews, brought about by men such as Theodore Herzl, a reporter for the Dreyfus Affair who wrote the short book, Der Judenstat (German for “The Jewish State”) they finally began to reorganize and purchase land from the Ottoman Empire to settle on as well as obtaining property from Arab land owners in the area.
The areas offered them under the British Mandate were some of the most inhospitable in the region yet the Jewish people welcomed the opportunity and the challenge. It only became a struggle for survival when the Arabs began to push back against the rising influx of Jews from abroad who didn’t share a common background of history, heritage, language, or core values. It didn’t help that the Arabs themselves forced the migration of over 1 million Jews to this new homeland by ejecting them from Egypt, Transjordan, Syria and Lebanon and in the process confiscated (kind for stole) all their worldly possessions and property thereby increasing demands upon the limited resources of the newly formed state.
Yet, the Jews have persevered as a people and have united under the idea of an Israeli state that embraces social as well as political rights for all its inhabitants. Most people don’t even know that Israeli Arabs play critical roles in all levels of Israeli politics and are involved in almost every political decision made. How many Arab nations can say they do the same with Jews?
Israel is catching a bad rap for simply existing. The actions being taken against them are only an excuse for the failed policies of the Arab countries in the region that look upon the success of Israel with jealousy in their eye. If the Arabs were living under The Code of Hammurabi, they’d all have been put to death long ago, but as it is under the theocratic laws of the Koran, they are praised for what they are doing and even encouraged by the promises of accession to Heaven and rewards of vestal women.
How is it then that American Liberals can choose what Arabs are doing over that of Israel? Is this the state of education today? After 7 million years of walking the earth, are we really still no smarter than a box of rocks?
Sadly, I think the answer is; Yes.
RSU
Racist socialism is not liberal. Israel can have no claim to liberalism until Palestinians receive the same rights and privileges as Jews, including the right to return to their ancient homeland.
who won the election?
.
Of what possible relevance is that to the substance of this post?
NOw run along back to the HuffPost or DailyKos or wherever it you spawned from... so you won't be crticized for your obvious mental deficiencies.
Buh-bye, now...
