The Iranian Whinery Over "300"

Well isn't that special.

An advisor to the Jabba the Hut of jihad, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, is complaining that Hollywood, via the new film "300," is insulting Persian culture.

From The People's Daily Online (China; hat tip DrudgeReport):

Javad Shamqadri, an art advisor to President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, accused the new movie of being "part of a comprehensive U.S. psychological war aimed at Iranian culture", said the report.

Shamqadri was quoted as saying "following the Islamic Revolution in Iran, Hollywood and cultural authorities in the U.S. initiated studies to figure out how to attack Iranian culture," adding "certainly, the recent movie is a product of such studies."

The movie's effort wound be fruitless, because "values in Iranian culture and the Islamic Revolution are too strongly seated to be damaged by such plans", said the Iranin official.
Gee. I wonder if perhaps Iran's training, justifying, arming and supporting the most vicious, bloodthirsty Islamist murderers in the world, and teaching them that their highest duty is to die while killing civilians, and to fit their children for suicide belts in preparation for bombing pizzarias and malls, might have something to do with the dim view that clear-thinking people have of the Iranian "culture?" Or their "president's" professed desire to cause a global holocaust in order to faciliate the appearance of the "12th mahdi"?

Naw, I'm sure all that has absolutely nothing to do with it. Nothing at all.

But hey, here's to Hollywood for putting out a movie that gets this kind of reaction from one of the world's most notorious madmen (instead of continuing its history of appeasing, romanticizing or worshipping other bloodthirsty murderers, such as Castro, Stalin, Mao, Che, et al).

What's hilarious is that "300" is based on a graphic novel by Frank Miller, he who brought us "Sin City" and "The Dark Knight."

Saying this guy is participating in politico-psychological warfare is like saying Mickey Rourke is participating in the Miss America contest.

When will the Arabian Fanatical realize we just don't give that much of a shit?

Douglas Adams summed it up best in "Life, the Universe and Everything" when he said (and here I paraphrase):

The obsessed people are the ones who win.

Middle Eastern fanatics win, in their minds, because nothing is more important than their religios win. We Americans, knowing that moderation and religious tolerance make for a market free of that nonsense, get awful damn tired because of unwillingness to sacrifice for the win.

(You KNOW that's true on both sides a. because liberals hate war period and b. conservatives generally want someone else to fight the war for them.)

They may be idiots, but they're obsessed idiots. We shouldn't have gotten into this dogfight without a plan, and it's been managed SO BADLY that almost everyone wants OUT.

We're not obsessed, and here's the proof.

We klnow that 300 is just a movie based on history so ancient it belongs to human culture, not just Persia. Iran thinks it's all about them because they think EVERYTHING is all about them, and I wish they'd shut up.

Here, my dear, we rather agree. Good moning!

Oh Darwinita...

... you were doing SO good, right up to the point of saying that the left hates war and conservatives have other people fight them...

... you see? You see why I keep telling you to note eat those Huffing-O's?!?!?

:)

You could have gotten at least an A- for this.

Then again, you could have gotten an A+++ if you'd have acknowledged the amazing betrayal of the Dems on the Hill for standing with CAIR, a notorious terrorist front group, and for actually giving them a hearing room today.

The left has already earned a deserved reputation for appeasing jihad... and we are all paying the price. If you really are unaware of all this, I will provide extensive links.

Until then, have a good one. :)

There are only about 100 more links I can provide as to how the left has been appeasing and essentially enabling jihadists and their supporters. This doesn't even include the left's pre-2001 efforts.

I realize many folks don't know this sordid history, or what is happening now, so I'm going to assume you're among them... but f you take an honest look, you'll realize what is happening.

Only one party on the Hill has made it a practice to embrace CAIR, and it sure ain't the ones with the "R" after their names.
