As Predicted: HuffPost's Cheney Thread Must Be A Right-Wing Conspiracy

NOTE: This thread is a continuation of yesterday's super-blog, HuffPost Insanity Part 3,243: Regret Over Failed Attempt on Cheney By Taliban

All of a sudden, I'm feeling positively omniscient.

First, after hearing this morning of how Cheney missed being assassinated by the Taliban, I anticipated that the Huffington Post crowd would be all over it, expressing their sadness, and sympathizing with the Taliban. (check!)

Blogged extensively on it here, and Rush Limbaugh picked up on my emails to him re the HuffPost admins' surgical scrubbing of its Cheney thread. (check!)

Then, tonight, I figured that as HuffPost admins have now all but extinguished that thread, perhaps some of the HuffPost regulars would be commenting on what happened today, on threads devoted to other topics. Gee, I was right again.

But what I missed --- and should not have, given my experience with them --- is that they would be claiming that leftists could not possibly be saying such things as were reported on that thread.... that it must be... (DRUMROLL) yet another right-wing conspiracy!!! Tin foil hats... get your tin foil hats here...

For those of you who missed it, not only garden-variety HuffPosters are claiming that hatred is exclusively a non-leftist affliction. As was reported at JQWorld last July, here, none other than one of the founders of Air(head)America, Sheldon Drobny, claimed that while he acknowledges rabid anti-Semitism and Jew-hatred is overflowing on leftist blogsites, it can't possibly be leftists who are saying such things... it must be (drumroll... you guessed it) a Karl Rove conspiracy!!!!

Back to the Cheney thread today, though... HuffPosters, you never let me down!!!

It MUST be another non-leftist conspiracy!!!

Here we go:

On the thread:
Break-In At NH Democratic Headquarters (which replaced the Cheney thread since about 6pm)...
Not that I would accuse the repugs of conspiracy...bwahaha.. But I bet that the worst comments directed at the VP today were actually from repug trolls.
By: HeevenSteven on February 27, 2007 at 07:41pm

Yep. We were talking earlier about that.
By: GrouchoMarxist on February 27, 2007 at 07:51pm

I missed the party. Friend of mine called tonite and said Rush Blimpo was raggin' about it. I looked and there are only 14 comments left up...sheez I thought censorship was right-wing stuff.
By: HeevenSteven on February 27, 2007 at 08:05pm

When I logged in today, they had already closed the comments, but they hadn't wiped them all. It was pretty clear that a few of the regular posters -- Thalia, kay, feminazi -- were arguing with a lot of people who's names I didn't recognize. And, of course, BJ and JonQ were around egging things on. With a few exceptions, it was people I'd never seen spewing the worst "Death to Cheney" stuff, which made me think that everything wasn't on the up-and-up.
By: GrouchoMarxist on February 27, 2007 at 08:24pm

Not only were the comments shut down on HP, but then they were published at TOWNHALL and I didn't recognize any names. The most outrageous attacks were definitely planted. The one HP poster I recognized didn't say ANYTHING even remotely negative about shooter's safety. He was just too liberal, I guess.
By: smootybooty on February 27, 2007 at 08:42pm

And all you dittoheads who want info on the infamous Cheney thread, Malkin has the PDF furnished by First Amendment advocate Sandy Burglar (LOL). Of course, all the moderate and sensible Comments were scrubbed to make it look much worse then it was originally. Now, drop dead! (Just a figure of speech, of course.)
By: getoffmedz on February 27, 2007 at 08:51pm

Only the most extreme and outrageous Comments made it to the PDF. If you'll notice page numbers are scrambled, portions of pages are missing and basically, a real bad quick edit.As usual, the Reich-wing can't play fair. The obvious bad edit will backfire, btw.
By: getoffmedz on February 27, 2007 at 09:01pm

... You'd think that if someone were maligning the news website that someone owned, and impugning the character of both her website and/or her person, someone would get a team of reporters on the story and would hold the wingnuts 'hatchet job' up to public ridicule! Put their stupidity up as a headline, complete with transcript of the original and then 'doctored' posts, and let them swing in the wind, hoisted from their own petard of psuedo-piety! It's what I'd do, if I were that 'someone'..! ;) ...
By: CynAnne on February 27, 2007 at 09:19pm

Wow. The only explanation I can think of is the Republicans are looking to see just how insultingly-corrupt they can get without people wanting to pay attention. Cheaper than a focus group, I bet. :)
By: lintlass on February 27, 2007 at 09:31pm

I have noticed as well, the unusual amount of names that I did not recognize that were rather trollish... a few of them quite vile.It is as if the trolls are all wounded and backed into a corner... mean and rabid.... lots of barking... no where to go....
By: nochnoi on February 27, 2007 at 09:31pm

The same thing happened last summer during the Israel/Lebanon war. We had a sudden influx of really vile anti-semitic posters -- not people criticizing Israeli policy, but anti-semtic garbage. And all the usual suspect trolls showed up bringing "all you libs hate Jews." Once again, the people posting the garbage were by-and-large names I'd never seen, except for a few of the usual suspects like PaulRevere. This was very similar.
By: GrouchoMarxist on February 27, 2007 at 10:09pm

I read them too, and thought "whoa--those are really bad". I also did not recognize most of the posters and thought they must be trolls descending on HP. I read that one person was going to send the posts to the FBI. The whole thing stunk and I avoided posting on that thread. I think there are enough of us who know the regulars and can attest to strangers amongst us. An excuse to go after Ariana, obviously.
By: meah on February 27, 2007 at 10:20pm

Conspiracy! Conspiracy! Jesus, don't you people ever get tired of spouting this ridiculous nonsense. Yes, the embarrassing quotes were obviously planted. Thats the only conceivable explanation. There's no way that liberals may have actually posted that stuff...it must be the right wing smear machine. Nothing that was posted this morning was in the least bit out of the ordinary for the Huffington Post. Truth is smootybooty and Groucho, if you were to speak truthfully you know that you agree with those that wished Cheney had been killed.
By: moderate1 on February 27, 2007 at 10:31pm
Yep, that's what happened to me. I read through a couple pages when I got to work, and Femi had been scolding the morons. I went to post something to back her up -- and, gee, the comment button was gone.I just got off the phone with Pix, and she said they did a huge banning sweep of basically everyone who posted on that thread. What a trainwreck.
By: GrouchoMarxist on February 27, 2007 at 10:42pm

Swell. I think that Ariana needs to address this. I hope she reads this thread. Or at least gets the word that the regulars were not posting with a few exceptions. I remember one regular was bawling out people for saying such rotten stuff. Trainwreck is right.
By: meah on February 27, 2007 at 10:59pm

Apparently they used keywords for banning, so even people who were quoting the idiots and arguing against them -- like femi and Thalia -- got the axe, too. Good grief.
By: GrouchoMarxist on February 27, 2007 at 11:07pm

Glad to see you survived LOL. Apparently, it got pretty mean. Pages were disappearing when I got here, so I never saw the whole thing. But I saw a good chunk of it before it went away. Like I said, a trainwreck.
By: GrouchoMarxist on February 27, 2007 at 11:24pm

Well isn't that sweet.

The HuffPost loonbats claim to know every one of the thousands of folks who post at Queen Arianna's, and because they didn't recognize some of the most loonbatted posters, well... gosh, they MUST be RNC/Rove stooges!!!

OK, that's enough for one day... even MY brain is starting to hurt now!!!

(Wait.... are those black Halliburton-ExxonMobil-BushCo-Meineke-Diebold-TacoBell-PNAC conspiracy cabal helicopters hovering above my place, in whisper mode? Oh NOOOOO....... ;)

HuffPost Insanity Part 3,243: Regret Over Failed Attempt on Cheney By Taliban

(11:30am) Fresh from the heart of the leftarded blogosphere:

Cheney Survives Taliban Assassination Attempt:

HuffPost Bloggers (and Taliban) Express Sadness

Well, it wouldn't take a genius to predict that oncethis story made the wires, the seething leftarded "base" of the Democratic Party would be expressing their sadness that Cheney survived.

But to see it in their own words, as expressed at one of the rabid left's most popular gathering spots, The Huffington Post, is something else entirely.

Here are some excerpts (to be added to as the hours and days unfold):

"Cheney's spokeswoman said he was fine"
By: geoman77 on February 27, 2007 at 08:10am

They missed! Too bad.
By: DinahM on February 27, 2007 at 08:15am

To bad they missed!!!!!!!!!!!!
By: irual on February 27, 2007 at 08:17am

You can't kill pure evil. Like an exorcism you have to drive a stake through it.
By: Ceaser on February 27, 2007 at 08:17am

Better luck next time!
By: TDB on February 27, 2007 at 08:18am

They missed?? Dammit. I hope they try again before he leaves.
By: tripdc on February 27, 2007 at 08:20am

It's good to see this asshole living in the world he has created. All I can say is "better luck next time".
By: pal on February 27, 2007 at 08:26am

Just can't get good bombers any more!
By: maf on February 27, 2007 at 08:31am

Jesus Christ and General Jackson too, can't the Taliban do anything right? They must know we would be so gratefull to them for such a remarkable achievement.
By: hankster2 on February 27, 2007 at 08:32am

It's just as well they missed. We wouldn't want to owe the Taliban such a debt of gratitude.
By: alpine on February 27, 2007 at 08:33am

Obviously they're fightin' this vile bastard over there, so we don't have to fight him here.
By: beaver on February 27, 2007 at 08:34am

If Cheney was seized by the Iraqi government ,tried, convicted, and hung by the neck until his freakin head popped off, then I would say Iraq is making " remarkable progress " .
By: lornejl on February 27, 2007 at 08:37am

Cheney escapes justcice again we live in hope the next time he faces the justice he so richly deserves.
By: Marhamptom on February 27, 2007 at 08:37am

Forget the bombs fellas, next time just expose him to a big magnet and turn his pace maker into an 'in body' IED
By: pinehermit on February 27, 2007 at 08:58am

Its a shame they missed the bastard.
By: LibertyWatch on February 27, 2007 at 09:12am

Even God doesn't want that lousy SON-OF-A-BITCH!!
By: MrFiskar on February 27, 2007 at 09:16am

Shit!! The guy missed.Better luck next time!! There will a party the world over if either The Sneerer or the Smirk gets waxed.
By: ClintToris on February 27, 2007 at 09:19am

You can never find a competent suicide bomber when you need one.
By: Mark701 on February 27, 2007 at 09:28am

Live by the sword, die by the sword. It would be such sweet, poetic justice if it happened. Sorry if that offends you who worship the devil of D.C.
By: TOMVICKERS on February 27, 2007 at 09:28am

If only Cheny and Chimpy traveled together. They could kill two turds with one stone. And then---President Pelosi! Neocons wake up screeming.
By: TOMVICKERS on February 27, 2007 at 09:35am

If Bush and/or Cheney were assassinated, BILLIONS of people worldwide would celebrate. That's a reflection of THEIR (lack of) character, not the celebrants'.Live by the sword, die by the sword....
By: dictatortot on February 27, 2007 at 09:35am

Cheney's pure evil. The sooner he goes, the better.
By: bookish on February 27, 2007 at 09:52am

THANK GOD, WHO IN HIS GRACE PROTECTED DICK CHENEY! In precisely the same way He saved Adolf Hitler in an even closer call in 1944. He ain't the Hebrew War God for nothin', ya know.
By: artemos on February 27, 2007 at 10:09am

Too bad I could have opened the bottle of champaighn I have been saving for years for some special joyas occasion.
By: loveourplanet on February 27, 2007 at 10:09am

From what I've heard Demons are immune to explosives and fires....Maybe lighting????
By: NorCal on February 27, 2007 at 10:10am

I am a pacifist. I am against capital punishment. I am against evil. But maybe, just maybe, if they had killed Cheney today, our world might have been a little bit safer for my children...
By: bmermaid on February 27, 2007 at 10:18am

When you see your government being terrorists you think you should be also. What's worse strapping on a bomb killing yourself and a dozen or more other innocent people or dropping a 1000 pound bomb on a building and killing say 10 in that building 5 in the building on one side and 7 in the building on the other side 15 people in the street out front part of the other affected building collapse and kill another 20 and thirty get wounded from the blast and several others are hurt trying to help the injured and trapped. What I am trying to get across to you is that there is no high ground in murder, and war is murder!Everyone that participates in war is a FOOL or worse.Never ever trust stupid lying republicans
By: project on February 27, 2007 at 10:39am

With cheney's heart condition all you would need is a well placed doughnut.
By: gumby69 on February 27, 2007 at 11:12am

serial killers don't deserve special consideration just because they may be VP of the USA.
By: yappymutt on February 27, 2007 at 11:17am

2. Hmmmmm......y'know, the case is pretty strong that Cheney is not our legitimate VP. He's supposed to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution. He hasn't done anything like that....quite the opposite, in fact, so his Vice Presidency is illegitimate ....
By: ChimpyMcCokespoon on February 27, 2007 at 11:18am

And I wonder how many people Gov. Bush executed for killing someone in the commission of a felony, even if they didn't start out trying to murder anyone?
By: ncjohn on February 27, 2007 at 11:29am

Well, well, well.

If "60 Minutes" or some other newsmagazine wanted to do a really interesting story on the state of culture in America, they would present all this to our citizens, and get Mike Wallace to hound down Queen Arianna and ask how in good conscience she can host such a site, and actually charge advertisers to promote their products and services there.

And if the MSM was really adventurous, they would explore how the talking-points and concepts of "justice" that are expressed by the rabid left in America could be so eerily similar to those of the jihadist murderers that comprise the Taliban (and their murderous bretheren in al Quada, Hezbollah, Hamas, etc.); whoops, I forgot... they are merely "freedom fighters" putting up a noble and justified "resistance."

And they could go further: by exploring how, as I have pointed out repeatedly at JQWorld, that the supposed advocates of "tolerance" and "diversity" and "inclusiveness" and "understanding" --- who can excuse the most vicious acts of murderous jihadists, and every form of human depravity --- could possibly harbor so much hate, such mind-numbing rage that is now referred to as "Bush Derangement Syndrome."

Yes, maybe, someday the MSM will explore all this...

*** crickets ***

Unlike the other threads in which HuffPosters get to give voice to their Bush Derangement Syndrome for days on end, this thread --- which was posted at 7:59am on Tuesday, February 27 --- was closed at 11:43am. (And the entire last page, 19, was deleted in entirety)...

Perhaps the administrators at HuffPost are developing something resembling a conscience!?

One can only hope.

As noted in Update 1, above, this thread at HuffPost was on page 19 and going strong at 12:00pm.

Rush Limbaugh got on the air at 12:07pm EST, he opened by talking about this thread... and read some of the more disgusting comments at HuffPost... and continued until 12:12pm. He closed by saying that he was going to have his people post a link to this (HuffPost) thread.

BUT WHEN I FOLLOWED THE LINK ON RUSH'S WEBSITE OUT OF CURIOSITY AT 12:42pm, see how he framed the issue, THE THREAD ONLY WENT UP TO PAGE 14 --- pages 15-19 had magically *disappeared!!!*

I then began to clip and paste the posts from page 14 backwards to the last page I left off on (page 9), before they could erase the rest of them. The break point in my thread here was the post at 10:18am (see red note).

As of this moment, 1:17pm, the HuffPost thread is now down to PAGE 9

It's a wonder why they didn't just delete the thread in its entirety. Or is it?

If they deleted it, Rush's link (and mine) would go to a blank page. So instead of doing that, they are apparently removing the pages (if not the offensive posts), one by one, in true leftarded fashion --- to conceal the real outcome of their actions, "by degree," or "progressively."

UPDATE 3 (1:25pm): RUSH LIMBAUGH DESCRIBES DOCUMENTATION ON JQWORLD --- and MORE!!! (Though not by name --- yet)

Starting at about 1:16pm, I began emailing Rush with updates to this post... highlighting the fact that HuffPost admins were removing the pages... sent him two updates... then, at 1:25pm, Rush returned from break and mentioned exactly what was in my emails to him moments earlier --- and MORE: most notably, that the HuffPost admins are actually REMOVING INDIVIDUAL POSTS, starting with the FIRST ONE cited above.

"Cheney's spokeswoman said he was fine"
By: geoman77 on February 27, 2007 at 08:10am

Rush said he couldn't cite the post because it had the "F" word in it --- but that now (ShaZAM!!!) the "new" first post on the thread was something very inoffensive... which now reads (note the identical time-stamp):
Geez. You'd think the Taliban would be grateful to Cheney & Co. for diverting off into Iraq and allowing them to regroup and resurge. Ingrates!
By: Thalia on February 27, 2007 at 08:10am

Here are Rush's comments:
RUSH: "By the way, a little update, ladies and gentlemen. Our first item in the program today: the Huffington Post, in their news section, posted a story on the attempted assassination of Dick Cheney today by Taliban commanders and terrorists at Bagram Air Force Base, leading to comments after the news story suggesting that it was unfortunate Cheney was not killed. We posted the link to that site at RushLimbaugh.com. They've now shut down the comments and they have eliminated some of the offensive ones. So if you go there now, you will not see the first comment -- and I didn’t share this one with you because it's the F-word. That's all it is. The first comment, the news that Cheney didn't die, that's gone, and it's been replaced with something sweet and light and so forth and so on. But they've stopped comments to that particular item in their news section and have eliminated, I'm told, some of the offensive comments hoping that Cheney dies or should have died or will die in the next attack or what have you."
I know for a fact that this post by "Thalia" was actually stamped at least 2 hours later BECAUSE I WAS ON THE THREAD (under my 24th login ID since being "banned"... "WhereInTheWorldIsJQ")
... yet the HuffPost admins are apparently now manipulating what was said on their thread, and when.

I hesitate to use the word "unbelievable" in regards to anything the rabid left in America does, given what they've done in the last 4 years... but this almost is.

MINI-UPDATE: 1:37pm: HUFFPOST ADMINS ARE NOW DOWN TO PAGE 7; PAGES 8-19 HAVE MAGICALLY "DISAPPEARED" --- and the remaining "posts" are being removed, and replaced with less-offensive ones, with new time-stamps.

MINI-UPDATE: 2:04pm: Well, they're now down to page 6. And the number of "comments" has been re-numbered from "160" to "141." Pages 7-19 magically went away... along with all the offensive posts (typically about 25 per page)... and the inoffensive ones have been re-timestamped to provide the illusion of "nothing out of the place here... nothing to see folks, now move along...."

As my friend A.T. says... what a HOOT!!!

Here is a screen shot of what the thread looked like at 2:04pm, when there were "6 Pages":

And here is a screen shot of what the thread looked like about 10 minutes later, when there were "5 Pages":

And here is a screen shot of what the thread looked like about 10 minutes later, when there were only "4 Pages":

NEXT: Here is the front page of HuffPost at 2:04pm, when there were "141 comments":

NEXT: Here is the front page of HuffPost about 30 minutes later, when there were "76 comments":

Well, well, well indeed.

The Stalinists, the Maoists, the Hitler-worshipping Nazis and the others in socialist-fascist-totalitarian tyrannies were masters at this sort of thing... airbrushing out or otherwise "eliminating" anything that exposed their true nature.

In a precient stroke of timing, last Sunday's "60 Minutes" profiled how the Nazis, under suspicion of murdering tens of thousands of Jews at the Teresenstaph concentration camp, transformed it into a veritable "Jewish paradise," replete with cafes, playhouses, fancy clothes, etc... all to fool the Red Cross on the only one-day visit they were permitted to have. And as soon as the Red Cross left (satisfied), the Nazis resumed their murder.

What this thread --- and the lunatic leftists who expressed all these wishes for Cheney's death, in synch with the actions taken by the Taliban --- represented was a clear, timely view inside the leftarded blogosphere.

Well, right up until it was all airbrushed out of existence by Huffington Post administrators.

Those familiar with JQWorld know that I've been doing battle with, documenting, and lampooning leftist lunacy for a little over a year, primarily at HuffPost.

After all the threads I've seen, all the loonbatted comments (and conspiracy theories), I must admit --- the hundreds of posts on this thread at HuffPost astonished even me.

But what astonished me even more was the fact that the HuffPost administrators apparently didn't heed the lesson of Watergate and other scandals: it's not the crime or the action that nails ya, it's the cover-up.

Maybe one day the MSM will decide to cover all the America-bashing, Jew/Israel-hating, jihadist-appeasing, UN-worshipping, Bush Derangement Syndrome lunacy that goes on there. Let's hope.

LAST UPDATE: It seems Michelle Malkin and I were on the "same page" today... and she documented the actual screen-grabs of some of the most loonbatted posts, before the HuffPost administrators could purge them, and pretend they never existed... see here.

And be sure to check the time-stamps on these posts... as opposed to the "cleansed" version I documented earlier.

Oh, by the way ---- now, this HuffPost thread is down to 1 PAGE, and 12 posts... and the surviving posts are so sweet, so innocent... straight out of Disney!!! The first one --- the top of the list that anyone who links to the thread will see first --- NOW reads:

glad the VP is OK.
By: kennedysghost on February 27, 2007 at 08:14am
How sweet... isn't it?

1,600 Terrorists Planning Attacks; The MSM: Where's The Celebrity Angle!?

From today's Telegraph (UK; hat tip LionheartUK):

Secret Report: Terror Threat Worst Since 9/11

The terrorist threat facing Britain from home-grown al-Qaeda agents is higher than at any time since the September 11 attacks in 2001, secret intelligence documents reveal.

The number of British-based Islamic terrorists plotting suicide attacks against "soft" targets in this country is far greater than the Security Services had previously believed, the government paperwork discloses. It is thought the plotters could number more than 2,000.

Eliza Manningham-Buller, the director general of MI5, warned recently that there were more than 1,600 "identified individuals" actively engaged in plotting terrorist attacks. There were 200 known networks involved in at least 30 terrorist plots. It is thought that the number of British citizens involved in plots could be well in excess of 2,000...
Hm. This article and others indicate that most or all of these terror threats are from home-grown jihadists, including second- and third-generation Muslims in England, many from middle- to upper-class families.

I covered some of the unreported-on hard numbers at JQWorld,

And yet, what is the American mainstream media --- from CNN to Fox News to the Washington Post --- expending airtime and ink on, to the exclusion of even mentioning this story (thus far)?

You got it: The Oscars, Anna Nicole Smith's decaying body, Britney Spears' decaying psychological balance, the Libby trial, the Hillary-Obama spat, and other non-stories.
Little wonder why the jihadists are convinced that we can be conquered --- not through violence, but through the near-wholesale abdication by our mainstream media to accurately and promptly present the pivotal stories of the day, so they can present more nauseating non-stories that reflect only their obsession with celebrity-worship.

The Unreported Hypocrisy Of Class-Warfare Rants From Super-Rich Leftists

One of the great untold stories that the mainstream media refuses to cover is the naked hypocrisy of the super-rich leftist demagogues in America and their class-warfare, welfare-state advocating rants, versus their own personal lifestyles.

This thread will address only some of the most grievous examples, particularly from the leftist politicos who are screaming about wages and CEO pay.

Let’s start here: A few weeks ago, the House of Representatives voted 315-116 to approve the first increase in the federal minimum wage in 10 years, from $5.15 to $7.25 an hour over two years. Let’s examine these numbers:

Current minimum wage: $5.15 per hour x 2,000 hours = $10,300 per year
Recently-approved minimum wage hike: $7.25 per hour x 2,000 hours = $14,500 per year

As was reported in today’s Washington Post:

“Former president Bill Clinton, who came to the White House with modest means and left deeply in debt, has collected nearly $40 million in speaking fees over the past six years, according to interviews and financial disclosure statements filed by his wife, Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton.” Read the rest here.

Let’s see: The article indicates that Bubba “earns” an average of $150,000 for a 1-hour speech ($2,500 per minute). At this rate, Bubba “earns” 29,126 times what a current minimum wage worker does at $5.15 per hour, and 20,689 times what a future minimum-wage worker will, at $7.25 per hour. And if Bubba "worked" 2,000 hours per year, he would “earn” $300,000,000, which would put him in the top .001% of American CEOs.

The average pay for a CEO of an S&P 500 company in 2005 was $13.5 million, or $6,750 per hour (Source:
AFL-CIO). This is 1,310 times what the minimum wage worker earns currently, and 931 times what the future minimum wage worker will earn.

Yet the $6,750 that the average American CEO earns per hour is only 1/22 of what Bubba “earns” in the same time period.

And it's worth asking: Who’s producing more tangible value for their “earnings?” Who is creating more wealth, jobs, tax revenue, and benefits for America? Who is providing an opportunity for Americans to rise through the income scale --- and who is acting as a selfish obstruction, and taking more than his "fair share"?

Now, let’s move along to John Edwards, the pretty-boy leftist demagogue who wants to be president, and who so loudly proclaimed that we are headed for “two Americas,” one of the wealthy, and one of everyone else.
As a reminder, let’s revisit Edwards’
stump speech (Try to ignore that oppressive Soviet military marching music you may hear in the background; just because this rant is rooted directly in Marxism, doesn't mean that John actually believes all this... or does it?):
“Today, under George W. Bush, there are two Americas, not one: One America that does the work, another America that reaps the reward. One America that pays the taxes, another America that gets the tax breaks. One America that will do anything to leave its children a better life, another America that never has to do a thing because its children are already set for life. One America -- middle-class America - whose needs Washington has long forgotten, another America - narrow-interest America - whose every wish is Washington's command. One America that is struggling to get by, another America that can buy anything it wants, even a Congress and a President.”
Let’s see: according to the
New York Times:
“In the four years before he joined the Senate in 1999, John Edwards made a total of nearly $27 million as a personal injury lawyer who won a string of multimillion-dollar jury verdicts and settlements.”
Rounding that out to $27 million, that means that Edwards earned an average of $6,750,000 per year, which is 655 times the earnings of current minimum wage workers, and 465 times the earnings of future minimum wage workers.

(Oh, and lest we forget, like all good super-rich leftist hypocrites, Edwards exploited numerous tax code loopholes to avoid paying hundreds of thousands of dollars in taxes, which one must assume was part of his "fair share;" read some of the details here)
Again, who is producing wealth, jobs and value for America – and who is taking these things away, via ambulance-chasing litigation and exorbitant legal fees, "earned" through personal charm and manipulation of key audiences?

And lest we forget, part of Edwards' "skill" is his ability to manipulate jurors through emotional appeals, including his winning claim that he was channeling the thoughts of a little girl afflicted by cerebral palsy:
"I have to tell you right now -- I didn't plan to talk about this -- right now I feel her (Jennifer), I feel her presence," Edwards told the jury, according to court records. "[Jennifer's] inside me and she's talking to you ... And this is what she says to you. She says, 'I don't ask for your pity. What I ask for is your strength. And I don't ask for your sympathy, but I do ask for your courage'."

(Gee --- I wonder... could such a skill be used to manipulate an entire population to vote for an eminently unqualified propagandist? Hm.)
Next, consider that Edwards has nearly completed construction on his brand-new 28,200-square-foot super-mansion in North Carolina that is expected to be valued at more than $6 million.
Carolina Journal)

Contrast this with the fact that the average American home in 2000 was 2,200 square feet, with 2.6 occupants.
Population Reference Bureau)

Edwards’ new mansion, on the contrary, is 12.8 times the size of the average American’s home, and "features an indoor basketball court, a squash court, two stages... a swimming pool, a four-story tower, and a room designated as 'John’s Lounge'.

(And let's not even discuss the "environmental footprint" that such a super-mansion will have on the pristine North Carolina woodlands in which it is built... WHOOPS... Edwards is also an outspoke advocate of "environmental protections"; see www.johnedwards.com)

"Two Americas," indeed:
One consisting of super-rich Democrats and leftists, who preach from on high about the “greed” of corporate CEOs, while they merrily go about earning their exorbitant fees and salaries, negatively impacting the environment with their super-mansions, limousines, yachts and private jets, without a whimper from the fawning mainstream media that they count on to treat them like rock stars who really "care" about the little people that they preach to. (For as we all have been taught, only non-leftists and non-Democrats are “greedy” and “selfish” and “take more than their 'fair share'.”)

And the other America, which consists of people who do not bemoan what others earn, who admire productivity and achievement, who don't ask for or want special governmental favors, who just want to do the best they can for themselves and their families without being taxed to death to pay for endless Ponzi-based welfare-state schemes, and maybe leave a little something to their children.

For more information on the hypocrisy of super-wealthy leftists, and where and how they got their money, see The Left Wing Millionaire’s Club.

Finally, lest we forget the class-warfare rant of the Democrats’ new golden-boy, Senator James Webb, who obviously has been studying diligently at the "John Edwards School of Political Demagoguery, Economics and Hypocrisy."

In his rebuttal to President Bush’s 2007 State of the Union Address, Webb rehashed the same talking points:

“When one looks at the health of our economy, it's almost as if we are living in two different countries. Some say that things have never been better. The stock market is at an all-time high, and so are corporate profits. But these benefits are not being fairly shared. When I graduated from college, the average corporate CEO made 20 times what the average worker did; today, it's nearly 400 times. In other words, it takes the average worker more than a year to make the money that his or her boss makes in one day.”
(Source: CBS News)

See James K. Glassman's exceptional dismantling of and rebuttal to Webb’s rants here.

Maybe someday, Katie Couric, Charles Gibson, Brian Williams or one of their fellow super-rich, blow-dried mainstream media figures will devote some time to exploring this leftist hypocrisy (and its Marxist roots) in detail.

Maybe, once Anna Nicole Smith's decomposing body, Britney Spears' decomposing psychological balance, and American Idol are no longer commanding their lead stories, they'll get around to covering this aspect of leftist politics.

Maybe, before November 2008?

I won't be holding my breath.

Straight from the files of the Bush Derangement Syndrome pop-star rant file... singer Kanye West ("They're going to shoot us! Bush doesn't care about black people!") will be the beneficiary of a $3,900 luncheon that will contribute the most to global warming in history... see this article at HotAir (from CNN). Bon apetit, eh?

Al Quada to Democrats: Shape Up, Or We'll Never Support You Again!!!

Wow, just when one would think that the Democrats and their leftarded allies in the blogosphere are the only ones screaming about how President Bush is (a) a liar, (b) an alcoholic, (c) a war criminal, (d) a war profiteer, and (e) leading an unjustified and illegal battle against Islamist butchers in Iraq and throughout the world that America cannot win --- along comes a missive from al Quada's #2, Ayman al Zawahiri, repeating the exact same talking points.

Only in this case, he's speaking not only to his jihadist followers, but directly to the Democrats in America
"Bush is... addicted to drinking, lying and gambling... and the American people are the ones who chose him twice, out of greed for the Muslims' treasures and in animosity to them."

"The people chose you due to your opposition to Bush's policy in Iraq, but it appears that you are marching with him to the same abyss, and it appears that you will take part with him in the defeat and certain failure
, with God's permission. And the American people shall discover that you are all one side of the same coin of tyranny, criminality and failure..."

Gosh. After all that al Quada and their jihadist bretheren invested in a Democratic Party win in November (to be documented in a post in the very near future), they sure seem pretty pissed off now, eh?

But I don't understand why al Zawahiri is so pissed --- after all, it appears he and his pals put their bets on the right horses, being that we are now on the eve of the Democrat-led vote to essentially signal America's surrender to al Quada and the jihadists in Iraq
(source: AP/mywaynews):
"This is the debate that many of us have yearned for for four years," said Rep. Louise Slaughter, D-N.Y. The measure, expected to be approved by the House on Friday, was nonbinding. But the message was unmistakable, said House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who maintained that Bush's policies "have not worked, will not work and must be changed."

In a reversal, Pelosi and the Democratic leadership decided Monday night not to give Republicans a chance to propose an alternative measure... "At the end of the debate, we will vote on a straightforward proposition: Whether we support the president's plan or oppose it," Pelosi said in her prepared remarks.

Wow. What a powerhouse woman that Pelosi is.

Of course, Pelosi's rant begs the question: "Must be changed..." to WHAT???

As I documented in
my email to CBS' "60 Minutes," this was a critical question that should have been --- but never was --- asked to Pelosi while she and the Democrats were campaigning, in the leadup to the November elections.

And, to the mainstream media's ongoing shame and denials, there simply is no answer at this point coming from the Democrats, except for those few who are explicitly calling for America's immediate surrender to jihadists
(the Kucinich loonbats, who are advocating a complete and immediate cutoff of all funding for our soldiers).

The "non-binding resolution" that the Democrats are hellbent on pushing through is nothing more than a down-payment on America's surrender to al Quada and jihadists throughout the globe.

But at least the Democrats are going to accomplish three things:

(1) Emboldening al Zawahiri and his jihadist bretheren

(2) Validating their repeated proclamations that America doesn't have the stomach to sustain a fight against them

(3) Sending an unmistakable signal to our soldiers, that all they're doing is, as
Senator Obama said this weekend
, "a waste"

Compared to this, a "do-nothing Congress" would be eminently preferable.

The Big Kahuna Of Islamist Terror Speaks To GMA's Diane Sawyer - And American Leftists!!!

ABC's Diane Sawyer reported today from Tehran, where she "interviewed" the Islamist madman, "Uncle" Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

What started off as a tough-sounding interview, however,
turned into a classic soapbox speech from Uncle Mahmoud, in which he --- like rabid American leftists --- (a) blamed America for all the problems in the world, and particularly in Iraq, and (b) parroted their lexicon of feel-good words ("peace," "tolerance," "understanding," "dialogue," "friendship," and of course, "diplomacy").

Excerpts (see unedited source
Sawyer: They say (that) 170 (U.S.) troops (have been killed) and some 600 have been injured by Iranian weapons. Are you sending weapons into Iraq to kill Americans?

We shy away from any kind of conflict and any kind of bloodshed and we will be sad by such, we are opposed to any kind of conflict and as we have said repeatedly we think the world problem can be solved through the use of logic and a sense of friendship, there is no need for the use of force... (A)nd our position for Iraq is very clear, we are asking for peace, we are asking for security, and we will be sad to see people get killed, no matter who they are.

Sawyer: But they say they have serial numbers from Iran?

But we don't need such things. I can give you figures and number, which are known: More than 160,000 American troops are in Iraq, 100 more … aircraft, helicopters, what are they doing in Iraq? I think the reason for insecurity of Iraq are these things, and these are some excuses to prolong their stay in Iraq...

Sawyer: Does Iran deserve the right to send Iranians in… Americans have said they had false identities that they were trying to shave their heads, trying to flush evidence.

I don't think that in the legal system in the U.S. you have this postulation that if you arrest someone you have automatically accused someone. Only people who have committed something wrong can be taken to court. I think it was childish for the U.S. government to do something like that to arrest defenseless people, not allowing them to talk to anyone and to publish information in a biased way.

Sawyer: Will you prosecute anyone trying to bring Iranian weapons into Iraq?

We are opposed to any kind of conflict in Iraq... (W)e think that the U.S. is following another policy trying to hide its defeats and failures and that's why is pointing its fingers to others. This is not a solution to the problem.

Sawyer: Do you personally fear an attack by us? And air strikes against Iran by the U.S.?

Fear? Why should we be afraid? First the possibility is very low, and we think that there are wise people in the U.S. that would stop such illegal actions but our position is clear. Our nation has made it clear that anyone who wants to attack our country will be severely punished.

------------------------- THEN THIS ------------------------------

(Source: ABC) Diane Sawyer's trip to Iran and exclusive interview with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has prompted viewers from all over the country to send her questions. On Tuesday's "Good Morning America," she answered some of them.
Question: Is there anything surprising or personal about President Ahmadinejad that we didn't know?

Sawyer: It turns out somebody told me that he cries a lot. He is dramatically sympathetic. So I asked him, "Are you often in tears?"

Ahmadinejad: Yes, that's true. Not overwhelm(ingly) for Iranians, of course, they are very close to me and I love all Iranians. And anywhere — when I see people suffering I have the same reaction, and we feel sad for people of Iraq, for the people of Palestine. Anywhere we have war, we feel sad. Even when I see on TV, for example, some Americans, because of tornadoes or a hurricane, they have lost their homes, I become sad.

Because, for us, human beings are respectable, no matter where they are. Human beings are respectable, and they have their own dignity. And all of us should help so that people should lead better lives to live at peace. And to live in peace and brotherhood. In the viewpoint of our religion, all people are respectable, and they must be loved. Regardless of their nationality, ethnicity or religion. This is part of our religious teachings, and we'll live with this religion.

WOW. Nominate this jihadist-funding, jihadist-training, jihadist-arming, jihadist-justifying, Holocaust-denying, America-threatening nutjob for both the Nobel Peace Prize, and the Oscar --- for exceptional acting!!! Or at least get him his shot on Oprah... he has clearly earned it!!!

Of course, let's not even discuss the thousands of Israelis and Americans that Iranian-trained and -armed terrorists have murdered, or maimed... or the terror and oppression that Ahmadenijad visits upon his own people... such as the Iranian women and young girls who are put to death by hanging or stoning for the "crime" of
being raped, or being victims of attempted gang-rape who have the audacity to defend themselves, or having romantic relationships outside of marriage... no, no, no, that would be very, very, very impolite for ABC or Diane Sawyer to ask.

Fact is, Uncle Mahmoud couldn't get this kind of free, positive press-time for $100 million --- yet ABC and Ms. Sawyer gave it up to him, for free.

It's a wonder why he and other Islamists think Americans are ripe for dhimmitude.

With the complicity of folks like Diane Sawyer and the ABC "News" team willing to give a monster like Ahmadinejad every benefit of the doubt, and transforming him from a murderous lunatic into a thoughtful, sensitive, peace-seeking world leader
(see my earlier take on this here), it's no wonder that he'd make himself available to her, versus anyone with a modicum of knowledge as to his stated intentions, aspirations and bloody legacy.

What are those statutes re treason again!? Something about giving aid and comfort to America's enemies...?!

On another, somewhat related topic... as has been noted at JQWorld repeatedly in the past (here, here), one must wonder: Does Uncle Mahmoud get his blame-America, jihadist-terror-justifying talking points from the American left --- or do they get theirs from him?

Maybe ABC News will ask him this question tomorrow. In fact, I gave them a boost --- here's the email I sent to Diane Sawyer this morning (
Dear Diane: Does Ahmedinejad frequent American political blogsites like The Huffington Post and Daily Kos? I ask because all his words about "peace" and "tolerance" and "understanding" sound very much like the words they use - but it is painfully obvious that he means none of them, just as the majority of bloggers at those sites do. Also, because his evident hatred of President Bush is a near carbon-copy of the statements the bloggers at those sites make. Thank you! JonQ

[Unfortunately, it seems Diane didn't get around to asking my question. Drats!]

Secret email from Ahmadinejad to American Leftists intercepted!!!

I guess Uncle Mahmoud has the same problem typing in email addresses as his buddy
Hassan Nasrallah, Chief Butcher, Hezbollah does... this ended up in my email box this morning...

I trust you enjoyed my interview with "Good Morning America" star and aspiring dhimmi, Diane Sawyer this morning. Thank you for your many supportive emails; I and my gang of jihadist murderers (er, I mean, government officials, clerics and mullahs) really appreciate it.

I assume you noticed how similar the words and phrases that I used sound to those that you use --- such as how President Bush is evil and a war criminal, how America has no business being in Iraq, how all the violence being perpetrated there is being caused by your soldiers, and how I and Iran are only seeking peace, tolerance, human rights, justice and dialogue. Those words and phrases sound familiar to you because they came directly from the talking points I obtained from some of your more prominent (translation: rabid) leftist organizations, such as International ANSWER, Code Pink, Not In Our Name, MoveOn.org, United for Peace and Justice, PeaceNow! and others.

Even the Democratic Party has been a vital asset in my efforts. Chairman Howard Dean, and Senators John Kerry and Christopher Dodd have been god-sends, er, I mean, an Allah-sends!!! In fact, as reported by that infidel bastard JonQuixote, here and here, Chairman Dean is even considering nominating me to top the 2008 Presidential ticket in the American elections!!!

And lest I forget, your political blogsites are exceptional tools for us. That son-of-a-Jew-pig JonQuixote also documented some of your lunatic America-bashing, jihadist-appeasing, Jew-hating rants here. Although other sites like Little Green Footballs, JihadWatch, AtlasShrugs2000 and the site run by that bastard JonQuixote try to uncover and disseminate the truth behind my lies and intentions, we all know that the American media disregards them, to focus on sites like The Huffington Post, The Daily Kos, and Counterpunch. Good work!!!

I really, really appreciate your willingness to excuse all of my murderous actions around the world, of my legacy of funding, arming and justifying jihadist terror, and of my desire to extend Iranian dominance over the entire Middle East.

But thanks to your abhorrent educational system, very, very few of your fellow citizens can draw the vital parallels to my interview, and the speeches by Adolph Hitler in the late 1930s, regarding his feigned desire for "peace" and "justice" and how he had absolutely no intentions to enslave Europe, and then, the world. They have no conception of history - so everything they hear, they are more than likely to lap up like puppies to warm milk.

Didn't I do good? Judging from your emails, I think I did. The blood of tens of thousands of innocent people are on my hands, and those of my aforementioned colleagues --- and if I have my way, many millions will suffer as the result of our jihad, matched with our quest for so-called weapons of mass destruction.

The only things standing in our way right now are those infidel Israeli dogs, the American people, particularly your government, and certain elements of other goverments in Europe and other regions.

So I really, really, really need you to continue excusing our murderous jihad, or at least, propagating the notion that we can be negotiated with, that we can be appeased, that if President Bush would declare defeat in Iraq and just sit down and talk with us, we can be dissuaded from our intentions. Code-words such as "peace," "diplomacy," "justice" and "humanitarian" must be used repeatedly.

Most urgently, I need you to continue your refusal to differentiate between the murderer and the murdered, the terrorists and the terrorized, the jihadist and the committed freedom-loving peoples of the world.

Please, in the name of Allah, the merciful, continue to speak out against everything your current administration has done, is doing, and plans to do, to deal with the Iranian threat, once and for all. We only need a little more time to create our first nuclear weapon, and after that, well... Allah will tell. And most of all, keep pestering your news media with your hateful comments and diatribes, all directed at America, its history, present and future, vis a vis its "war on terror."

We both know that America is the most unjust, unfair, murderous, marauding, imperialist, malevolent nation that has ever existed in the history of the world. But, we need to temper our outrage, for the moment, to focus just on the Bush administration. For whatever his other faults that unite many if not most Americans, such as runaway spending, etc., we must continue to drive home the point that his "war on terror" is unwinnable, that he is evil, and that he is only embarking on this crusade to oppress and murder Muslim people, while enriching his friends in the oil industry.

Again, thank you - you are having a vital, timely impact on our efforts.

ALLAHU AKBAR, my friends...

Uncle Mahmoud

PS: We'll try to remember all your assistance (whether given knowingly or unknowingly) when you are brought before our councils of mullahs, who will judge and sentence you for your innumerable infidel crimes.

Perhaps they will show you leniency; perhaps not.

NOW, if you want to see something REALLY funny (or pathetic), check out the responses that Diane Sawyer's interview will receive at The HuffingtonPost and The Daily Kos, just as soon as they put an America-bashing, Iran-appeasing headline up!!!

Well, that didn't take long... 200+ lunatic leftarded America-bashing, Iranian-madman-equivocating comments at HuffTardsVille, in response to the free propaganda soapbox that ABC and Diane Sawyer provided to Ahmadenijad...

Apparently, the viewer comments sent to ABC News and Diane Sawyer re their act of colossal stupidity has struck a nerve with them, because they devoted a fairly substantial segment of GMA to this controversy today, which is covered at NewsBusters.org.

Word to the wise: If you have any anti-indigestion medications (over-the-counter or prescription), I suggest taking them before you click on that link. If "Uncle Mahmoud" and his minions weren't laughing their asses off at ABC and Americans prior to this, they surely are now.

More Musings From The Hate-America Left at HuffPost

There's an old saying: "Show me who your friends are, and I'll tell you who you are."

As has been documented on JQWorld repeatedly, the unspoken underbelly of the American left is their deep, visceral hatred of America, their constant bashing of Israel and Jews, and their endless coddling of our current, historic and aspiring enemies.

HuffPost: Electronic Flypaper For Jew-haters, Jihadist-Sympathizers And Anti-American

Rabid Jew-Hatred on Huffington Post, Part II

Rabid Jew-Hatred on Huffington Post, Part III

Rabid Jew-Hatred on Huffington Post, Part IV

Huffington Post Insanity, Part 724

Huffington Post Bloggers’ Hate Posts Re Kidnapped Fox Reporters

Whereas they will afford any villain, murderous dictator or collectivist tyranny every conceivable (and inconceivable) benefit of the doubt, the America-bashing left will give no benefit-of-the-doubt to their own nation or its ideals, and will go to endless lengths to deny, distort or evade its legacy of promoting and defending freedom, human life, and life-enhancing values.

So, when one hears the spoutings in the last few days of former KGB-man Vladmir Putin --- who sits atop one of the world's largest nuclear arsenals, and who has been arming Islamists to the teeth during his tenure --- claiming that America is "spurring a new arms race," and "is seeking to dominate the world," one might think that the American left would point these things out, defend their nation, or at least acknowledge the systemic repression that Putin is instituting in his own nation.

(Steve Martin voice): But NOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooooo...

The American left's venom --- as expressed at one of their more leftarded gathering spots, The Huffington Post --- is directed almost exclusively at America, while at the same time agreeing with Putin's assessment.

Here's the excerpts of Putin's comments that were posted at the main page of the HuffPost thread, "PUTIN: US PROVOKES ARMS RACE" that started this thread:
"'Primarily the United States has overstepped its national borders, and in every area,' said Mr. Putin, who increasingly has tried to re-establish Russia's once broad Soviet-era influence, using Russia's natural resources as leverage and defending nations at odds with the United States, including Iran.

"American military actions, which he termed 'unilateral' and 'illegitimate,' also 'have not been able to resolve any matters at all,' and have created only more instability and danger. 'They bring us to the abyss of one conflict after another,' he said. 'Political solutions are becoming impossible'."
Gee. Given that our soldiers are being shot at largely with Russian-made weapons, and our helicopters are being shot down with Russian-made missiles, and Russia has been selling practically everything in its military arsenal to the world's chief sponsor of Islamist terror --- Iran --- these comments are quite outrageous.

But leave it to the mentally-deranged leftists that flock to The Huffington Post to legitimize Putin's rants, and decry their own nation (while of course throwing in the obligatory anti-Israel, Jew-bashing addendums whenever they feel the urge):

It sure gets scary when a two-bit dictator like Putin can lecture what used to be the greatest country on earth. Does it mean he is now of higher standing or just that we have sunk as low as him? Sad commentary on our country.
By: DefendOurConstitution on February 10, 2007 at 09:19am

I just heard an interview about this at the BBC. Bush$Co has even convinced the world that it is a rogue government acting outside the laws of the world... IMPEACHMENT NOW!
By: LibertyWatch on February 10, 2007 at 10:16am

I want stability in the region as well, but consider Iran's position. Their neighbor, Israel, has a nuclear arsenal. You have been described by the most powerful military leader in the history of the planet as being a part of the "Axis of Evil." This nation has pre-emptively attacked two of your neighbors. If you were the leader of Iran, what would you do ?... It is a sad day when a former head of the KGB must assume the mantle of moral authority in the world because our President has become a threat to the planet. As an American, I am ashamed...
By: Lescoeurs on February 10, 2007 at 10:26am

Whatever you may think of Putin, he's correct about this. The Bush Administration is intent on achieving US global domination through military terror. It must be stopped.
By: LanceBoyle on February 10, 2007 at 10:30am

More of this "greatest country on earth" crap. Most of you don't even have a passport and have therefore never even seen another country to be able to actually make the comparison that qualifies you to make the statement, but you still regurgitate the same nationalistic piffle over and over again. When exactly did that perception find traction? "The greatest country on earth"? When you waltzed into WW2 fresh as a daisy after the rest of the world was bloodied and beaten from years of slugging it out? Would that be about right? For that you crowned yourselves the champions. And to cap it all off, you wiped out two Japanese cities in the most horrific manner ever in history, just to show that you "had arrived."
Since then you've been fumbling and blundering and generally losing from one
incompetent foreign misadventure to the next...
Time for a reality check, America. Humble pie would go a long way to regaining some of the respect your president has pissed up against the wall these past few years.
Doing something about him and his cronies in no uncertain terms would seal it. This is what Putin's talking about. The two-bit dictator is the shithead sitting in the oval office. Putin's a smarter cookie than the dumbfuck you elected to run the show, twice. A sad commentary indeed.
By: skeek on February 10, 2007 at 10:40am

Doncha just love the irony of the situation...Thirty years ago the Russian Bear was the world's symbol of unrestratined power, feared round the world. Now that the American eagle has turned into the American Vulture, we have become the most hated and despised nation in the world. What a sad, sad turn of events.
By: wagonjak on February 10, 2007 at 10:47am

Putin kills individuals on a retail level, Bush kills people and nations on a wholesale level.
By: olephart on February 10, 2007 at 11:21am

Another fraud is in the making. This time it is Iran. Equipment and American forces are being positioned in Bulgaria and Poland on a "temporary" basis, all in preparation for an attack on Iran. The Bush-Cheney propaganda machine is in full gear, making up and spreading lies about Iran supporting killing of our soldiers in Iraq. All lies. The only ones respon-sible for death and injury of our soldiers are Bush and Cheney, for the benefit of US corporations...
By: HumeSkeptic on February 10, 2007 at 11:29am

Of course, if you read the posts here you will realize that many Ameri-cans think its their divine right to kill, rape and abuse people in other countries. Just like Nazi Germany, and Imperial Japan found out. They will REAP what they SOW!!
By: JuicyLucy on February 10, 2007 at 11:41am

Thank the good lord that someone is starting to tell Americans the truth. God knows our own journalists have failed miserably. I hope some Western leaders start to speak the truth about what we have done. WE are going to be the cause of a global war. Millions will die. Bravo, America.----
By: HugoChavezJr on February 10, 2007 at 12:37pm

Putin ... unfortunately ... has it right too. He didn't quite say it this way but the dummies & stooges in this administration are very dangerous and putting the entire planet at risk. Scary stuff, indeed. And, other nations may just decide to put an end to the misdeeds perpetrated by our vultures.
By: NASCARLiberal on February 10, 2007 at 12:43pm

And while Bush is not Hitler, Stalin or even Putin, he is the closest America has come to those tyrants in over two hundred years. And that's too close.Bush is a danger not just to this country, but to the world at large.
By: shb on February 10, 2007 at 01:33pm

Bush and Cheney are murdering cowards. Yes, they are MURDERERS so more or less than Hitler, Stalin or Putin. And true justice would be to see them murdered. Actually all their god damn evil supporters also.
By: PissedOffVietVet on February 10, 2007 at 02:07pm

I'm deeply grieved that the USA-Israel appears prepared to commit saturation bombing against innocent Iranian civilians, destroy their infrastructure and contaminate their country with depleted uranium, if not radioactive fallout. All who say they support US troops in Iraq should be adamantly opposed to attacking Iran because such a crime would also endanger the troops they claim to care about. Putin said what is on the minds of many. I hope the statements of the Iranian representative, Ali Larijani, are given just as much media attention when he speaks tomorrow.
By: conscientiousobjector on February 10, 2007 at 02:11pm

Sadly, I agree with you Mr. Putin. The Bush regime is the most dangerous in our history, possibly the most dangerous in all of recorded history because of their propensity to threaten the use of nuclear weapons. This is all so sad, so tragic for America and the world. I only hope we survive the rest of Bush's term without a nuclear war. God help us and the world.

Number of people killed
Stalin 56,000,000
Hitler 49,000,000
Bush 670,000
Putin 136,000
By: TimtheDemocrat on February 10, 2007 at 04:56pm

This may sound extreme, but unless US citizens figure out a way to take power away from the current political and corporate leadership in your country, the only way we humans will survive much longer on this planet is if there is a major cull of US citizens. I'd say somewhere between 50% and 75% of you have to be sacrificed. Nuclear bombs would be the most effective way, as long as a nuclear winter can be avoided. We can't afford you anymore. You are too greedy, too stupid and too arrogant. Off with your heads - for the good of humanity!
By: canuknotusa on February 10, 2007 at 07:17pm

Do you really believe the israel lobby beholden democrats are gonna stand against any of this? They won't even utilize their power of the purse, much less impeach. Now, we're headed for a constitutional crisis of epic proportions... The nazi bullies will go all the way, they don't care the damage to that "goddamn piece of paper". If the democrats blink at all, even in the slightest, regardless of the excuse or talking point rationale, they will lose, we will lose, and we will die; the so called democrats will then deserve the rope as much as the nazis. The democratic party will, in effect, cease to exist. So beware those whose allegiance might be more to israel than America, i.e. emmanuel, lieberman, hilary, etc... There is no compromise possible whatsoever, our lives are on the line! But, to be true, I'm not holding my breath.(BTW... Do you really believe that the democrats won anything or could it be that those who rig elections need to have the democrats supposedly in charge when the shit hits the fan and bush rides roughshod over them?)

Russia will rise as the former United States of America falls. Iraq is to the former USA what Afganistan was to the USSR.

Remember how easily both parties in Congress rushed to endorse Israel's cruel bombardment? The Israel lobby has no reason to expect anything but a repeat of this shameless complicity. You'll also recall that the "antiwar" liberals of the Huffington Post crowd had practically zero to say about the deaths of thousands of Lebanese, and the rape of a nation. After all, their favorite Democrats in congress voted to endorse the merciless Israeli attack. Hillary Clinton hailed the bombardment of Beirut airport as a valiant act of "self-defense" on Israel's part. Nancy Pelosi, one of AIPAC's best friends in Congress, followed suit. In short, American political support for another go at Lebanon is virtually assured: aside from a few on the left, and the right, who are beginning to challenge the Lobby's hegemony over U.S. foreign policy, there will be very few voices raised against renewed Israeli aggression. Our supine Congress - which Pat Buchanan trenchantly called "Israeli-occupied territory" - will shout hosannas as U.S.-made -and-paid-for jets drop cluster bombs on schools, hospitals, factories, and other nests of "terrorism." Arianna Huffington will ignore it for weeks, and then rationalize it: the Bush administration will rush more military aid and subsidies to the Israeli war machine, and both wings of the War Party - the Democrats, no less than the Republicans - will cheerlead the action. Israel's probing the Lebanese frontier is a deliberate provocation, one that will end, if all goes according to plan, in U.S. military action against Iran. Opposing the war in Iraq, now that it's clearly a disaster, is - oddly enough - beside the point. The present danger is the regionalization of the war, which is the real objective of the "surge" - and the clock is ticking... "

It's tough to acknowledge that a man who goes around using former KGB tricks to kill his opponents is actually right about this.

Let me be clear: There is principled dissent, which is patriotic. Then, there is treasonous subversion.

The reader can decide which category the Huffington Post bloggers cited above fall into.

Late Addition:
Also check out this thread splashed at another prominent leftist gathering spot, The Daily Kos: "Why I Hate America." (h/t HotAir)

(I also eagerly await the obligatory, supplemental canard, "But these leftist nutjobs are only a small part of the leftist blogosphere..." Check out threads on the HuffPost, DailyKos, and other popular leftist blogsites on a regular basis --- then, bring it on.)

"Until today they used words; now they have switched to violence," Wiesel told Milan-based daily Corriere della Sera. "Their numbers are growing by the day."

The 78-year-old Holocaust survivor said the incident shook him and that, for the first time since World War II, he felt he was being personally targeted.

"I feared for my life in a way that hadn't happened to me since 1945, before the end of the war," he told Corriere.

"My incident shows a global trend; if society doesn't act immediately against these individuals it will end up encouraging others to do the same," he said. "Every time I make a speech somewhere in the world there is a group of deniers in that place waiting for me."

Gee. I wonder if the leftarded blogosphere and the Jew-hating, America-bashing, Israel-decrying flocks that gather there --- and which has been documented repeatedly here and elsewhere --- might have anything to do with fomenting attacks such as this one, on Elie Wiesel?

Naw, couldn't be.
