Iran's lunatic dictator, Mahmoud Ahmedinejad, has many reasons to be smiling these days:
- His ruse in early July to distract the G-8 Summit and the world by instructing Hezbollah to attack Israel served several purposes, and worked out far better than he could have ever imagined --- with Hezbollah, Syria and Iran all emerging as "victors," while Israel was tagged by the world media as being the "aggressor"
- Today, he claimed to have opened Iran's first nuclear reactor - with barely a yawn from the world's mainstream media, most notably the American news media, who would much rather go back to talking about the really important stories - like the JonBonet Ramsey case, whether Floyd Landis really did take steroids to win the Tour de France, and which TV shows are going to be awarded Emmys on Sunday night!!!
Add to this the fact that thanks to a number of factors, American leftists --- the supposed advocates of "peace" and "tolerance" and "understanding" --- are voicing such Jew-hating sentiments that a reasonable, impartial observer could only compare them to aspiring Nazis. This phenomena has been documented by many others, and by me - here, here and here.
Today at the notorious Huffington Post --- a major confab location for rabid Ameircan leftists --- a new thread appeared with the headline: "Iran Opens Nuclear Reactor."

The above was, as usual, met with nary a substantive reaction from any of the "sideline" leftists at Huffington Post, who, when confronted, claim to be "horrified" that such sentiments could be expressed by their fellow travelers.
Combined with the seething anti-American propaganda posted on the same thread, this thread is yet another sobering reminder of what rational, clear-thinking Americans --- and particularly Jewish Americans --- are truly facing, to deal effectively with the Iranian question.
Which brings to mind a cartoon I saw not long ago...
